How is it February already? The time is going by so fast with all the charters we are doing. Love it. The islands are seeing lower numbers of covid and people are wanting to travel. The travel restrictions have moved from 3 day covid test to enter the islands back down to 5 days before your trip. That is a good thing, people understandably were getting nervous about the portal not going through.
The guests we have had have been so adventurous. We are getting to go to all the secluded spots compared to the "touristy" places we normally stop at. The sea life in these bays are incredible! Leinster Bay we do not get an opportunity to go into because of time restraints (5 nights) this bay is amazing for hiking a short trail to the top of the mountain looking over at St Croix almost 38 miles away from St John. We have also had the opportunity to stay in Salt Pond Bay where there are sea turtles every where you look. Swimming with them are most peoples bucket list and you are sure to do it here.
With the purple underwater lights the tarpon are lively at night. I always have bread for our guests to feed them. A big highlight for young and old. It's been an exciting season so far and it's only 3 months in so we are having as much fun as our guests. We have been getting a lot of New Englanders...it's not 84 degrees there.
The Chef concord a charter that she has never done before. Now there have been more Vegan's aboard than ever before, Vegetarians, all the diet requirements that have been met but never Kosher meals. Well, it was accomplished. Very challenging but was interesting to see how it is done in the Jewish tradition. They seemed happy and impressed. Always learning and trying her best to customize each guests request.
