Back in the States… But Counting the Days Until We’re Back on the Water.

We’re back in the States for a little while — doctor appointments, family time, catching up with friends — all the things that never quite fit into the charter season. It’s always a bit of an adjustment coming from the quiet splashing of waves on the shore to the noise and pace of life here. Island time really does get into your bones.

Meanwhile, the boat is tucked safely into the yard in Trinidad getting her upgrades and pampering. She deserves it. We’ll be back onboard by mid to late September, getting everything ready for the new season.

With such a short stay in the States, we aren’t able to meet up with guests traveling through this year — and trust me, we wish we could. Last year was amazing, stopping in D.C. and visiting past guests along the way. Yes, we really do love you all that much, lol.

We’re gearing up for an incredible season in the Spanish Virgin Islands, and I’m so excited to be back there. Puerto Rico is such a fantastic place to sail — beautiful water, easy travel, great provisioning, and endless adventure.

And of course… I’m working on a stellar new menu. You know I have to change it a little every year, lol. Fresh ideas, new flavors, and all the favorites you’ve come to expect.

Purple Pelican is getting her upgrades (because we can’t help ourselves), and we’re starting earlier than usual this year. November will be here before we know it.

We’re already half booked with calls coming in almost every day. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic season, and we’re counting the days until we’re back on the water, doing what we love.

I always tell people I love my job — and I really do. I’m ready to get back to it.
