OUT OF AFRICA

We are coming to an end in Africa. What an experience we have had. It was amaaaaazing! After our 15 hour flight from DC landing in Cape Town the most beautiful city in the world. We had a tour guide every step of the way. The penguins, table mountain view was every where within the city. The wineries were beautiful too bad we could only take 4 bottles back. The people were so friendly and kind. I thought apartheid was over but clearly it was not. Sad for the people there. Outside the city poverty was over 3 million in one area. And of course we had to visit the Voyage Yacht manufacturer. We had a full tour of the factory, Chris was beside himself seeing how our boat was being built. Thank you Peter for setting that up.

Took another flight to the bush (outside of Kruger)where we drove to our lodge "Nottens bush camp in Sabi Sands) we had 5 lions laying in the road to block our path. Arriving the staff was warm and inviting. We wanted for nothing. The food was 5 star and the accommodations were stunning. We will definitely be going back! We saw all of the big 5 and so much more. Is wrong to love the wart hogs? LOL We did not want to leave this magical place.

Took another flight to Zimbabwe to the Palm River Hotel. Had a river cruise just after arriving. A tour of Victoria falls and had a Bamba (buffet) our last night. What an experience that was. I tried all the Bush meats, LOL

So today we have a flight to Johannesburg for the end of our vacation. Once there we have a 16 hour flight back to Atlanta, then on to Grenada where our boat sits. We are not sad to go back because we have a blessed life in the Virgin Islands where we call home. I hope everyone enjoyed our journey through Africa now back to work...hard to say since we enjoy our job so much!
